Computed Laminography for X-ray Inspection of Lightweight Constructions
نویسندگان
چکیده
Computed laminography (CL) is an alternative to computed tomography if large objects are to be inspected with high resolution. This is especially true for planar objects. Algebraic reconstruction technique (ART) enhance the quality of laminographic images and permits scanning geometries which cannot be reconstructed by conventional tomosynthesis. Thus ART expands the capabilities of 3D inspection with X-ray methods.

Digital Image Processing: Automated X-Ray Inspection in Electronics Manufacturing
In this paper, we examine two dimensional transmission and three dimensional laminography, as implemented in two Automated X-Ray Inspection (AXI) industrial machines used for inspection of Surface Mount Technology (SMT) solder joint connections in electronics manufacturing: the Teradyne XStation and Agilent 5DX. Factors affecting xray image quality, such as the size of the focal spot, the x-ray...

The high density LSI packages such as BGA is being utilized in the car electronics and communications infrastructure products. These products require a high-speed and reliable inspection technique for their solder joints. In this paper, an automated X-ray inspection system for BGA mounted substrate based on oblique computed tomography are proposed. Automated inspection consisted of OCT capturin...
متن کاملComposite Laminate Impact Damage Assessment by High Resolution 3d X-ray Tomography and Laminography
Improvements to toughening mechanisms in composite materials have hitherto relied on visual inspection techniques that can be rather limited, especially since the inherent damage behaviour is three-dimensional (3D) requiring high resolution to capture micro-cracks and similar damage. To achieve a better understanding of impact damage behaviour, synchrotron radiation computed laminography (SRCL)...
متن کاملAugmented laminography, a correlative 3D imaging method for revealing the inner structure of compressed fossils
Non-destructive imaging techniques can be extremely useful tools for the investigation and the assessment of palaeontological objects, as mechanical preparation of rare and valuable fossils is precluded in most cases. However, palaeontologists are often faced with the problem of choosing a method among a wide range of available techniques. In this case study, we employ x-ray computed tomography...
متن کاملA Neural Network Approach to the Inspection of Ball Grid Array Solder Joints on Printed Circuit Boards
In this paper; we described an approach to automation of visual inspection of BGA solder joint defects of surface mounted components on printed circuit board by using neural network. Inherently, the BGA solder joints are located below its own package body, and this induces a diflculty of taking good image of the solder joints by using conventional imaging system. To acquire the cross-sectional ...
